Dir en grey albums again

adepslanaeAs I've mentioned before I've been listening to a lot of music and I think it's time to discuss Bands. We'll start off with Dir en grey because they've been one of my favourite bands for a long long time.
I've already ranked Diru's albums once on this blog, here. I've not edited that post, but my opinions have changed a bit.
There is now one Diru album I would NOT save from a fire with my bare hands.
That album is The Insulated World.
I actually forgot that album existed sometime between the day I wrote the aforementioned post and a few weeks ago when I noticed it in my CD pile. Ooops!
But yeah, 2/3 thirds of the album is uninspired 3-minute songs filled with just shrieks and dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun drums. (I'm not a fan of that repetitive thudding, but how annoying it is depends on the general context of the song too, I suppose). The last three tracks are nice, but they're nothing that Diru haven't done before. I don't need a Ranunculus.
I've also tried to re-listen to the whole Dum Spiro Spero but only managed to listen up to Diabolus. I can still safely say that the first half of that album too is entirely forgettable, for me.
Arche I've actually grown quite fond of. Nothing new, but it does have Rinkaku and a few other atmospheric tracks.
Phalaris I still have to listen to in full, but from what I've heard it sounds just like regular Diru.
So, new (temporary) ranking!
[TIW ->] Dum Spiro Spero -> Kisou -> Gauze -> Arche -> Withering to Death -> Macabre -> Marrow of A Bone -> Vulgar & Uroboros
I can't really choose between Vulgar and Uroboros because they're peak Diru in basically two different genres, they sound nothing alike to me.
Diru have everything from almost pop songs to Pure-and-True Metal(TM) (LoL). Wikipedia lists as their genre(s): "Avant-garde metal, progressive metal, alternative metal, death metal, gothic metal, nu metal"...basically, It's Complicated.
