My timelines post is surprisingly still accurate.
But anyway, OCs.
Astarwë - a shepherd and Caranthir's best friend. I think they met when Caranthir was still a child (like around 10 in human age) and Fëanor took Caranthir to the countryside to look at the real deal for the first time ever. Astarwë was a few years older and starting out watching over flocks (probably not his own) and doing all the things that being a shepherd entails. Caranthir was absolutely fascinated with the sheep and 'this is where wool comes from' and insisted to stay with him for a few days. Then as soon as he came of age employed Astarwë himself and they were best yarn friends.
Sáyandil - part of the Cuiviénen crew that left with Míriel. He was still a teen and an orphan in Míriel's care and already her attendant (Míriel being an important person even out of Valinor). He had Tatyarin silver hair too, which was part of why Míriel became attached to him ('are we related?'). (In my fire-magic verse having silver hair = connection with fire among the Tatyar; sort of like white foxes being special foxes in Japanese folklore). Became part of Fëanor's household as soon as Fëanor married and was one of the very very few people who had Fëanor's complete trust (a 'true' brother). He basically ran Fëanor's business and stood in for him whenever Fëanor was away.
Nillerámë - Fëanor's best (female) friend. They met by chance when Fëanor was relatively young and she wanted to become a smith but didn't know who to turn to for an apprenticeship (on a side note, I think Fëanor was very strict when it came to accepting apprentices wrt their skill and dedication, but didn't give half a fuck about where they came from). Rumours as to a possible relationship between her and Fëanor never really took off because she was too gay for them (very likely had a waifu of her own). (Fëanor did sleep with his male friends, when he was young, and maybe later in some verses at least).
Ilmarwë - a fellow smith, one Fëanor met earlier when he began his apprenticeship in the Halls of Aulë. The best friend who carried Fëanor through the dark days following Fingolfin's birth. (I still can't figure out a background for him.)
Tinwenícë - Fëanor's nurse and also the nurse of all of his children. More of a mother-figure than a friend (the sons probably call her Grandma). Probably had children of her own, who Fëanor considered his 'milk siblings' (there's a concept over here that people who suckled milk from the same woman are siblings in a way, I'm not sure it exists in English? Google wants me to translate 'fratelli di latte' as 'foster brothers' but that's a different thing, I think.)
Rómelindë (or the ugly side of grief) - The person who was Not Okay with Míriel's death the most. Definitely a bad influence in some ways, but also genuinely devoted. I'm torn between headcanoning that she was the head of Fëanor's household and headcanoning that she stayed in Finwë's house to look over Fëanor's (and Míriel's) stuff and generally be a torn in Indis's (and Finwë's) side...probably the second.
Elemmírë (not an OC but basically an OC) - I'm kinda fed up with fem!Elemmírë (she's boring AF to me), and generally I like to headcanon male!Elemmírë as Fëanor's friend first and Maglor's later (probably encouraged Maglor to become a singer; the Noldor sing and all, but music is not one of their usual specialisations). My male!Elemmírë is gay AF, loves crossdressing and doesn't hide that he likes sleeping around. Some people may call him a 'frivolous man' but he dghaf. (In a way he's similar to my hc for Ivárë, but Ivárë is aloof and weird in a makes-your-skin-crawl kind of way and considers sexual intimacy a declination of music you don't play with just anybody.)
