So I've been thinking of Daughters of Fëanor a lot again. Specifically fem!Celegorm, who I think is my favourite after fem!Curufin and fem!Maedhros.
But yeah I've been imagining a reunion between Celegorm and Maedhros after Nargothbleah in the
Orcs' Brew* verse, when Celegorm has to tell Maedhros about the whole 'Finrod forced a child on me' incident, though it would not be all (or even mainly) about that, more about them just being close after being apart for so long, and Maedhros admiring Celegorm's physical strength - Celegorm is almost as tall as her and strong, as her father-name implies, and Maedhros just feels comforted by Celegorm's presence...something along those lines, hence they spend a lot of time together bathing, massaging each other, drinking, talking of course.
Maedhros has very much accepted her mutilated body (I didn't mention this in Orcs' Brew but she had her breasts cut off
after she was brought back - they were mangled anyway, but it was mainly sending a message and actually giving herself a blank slate to start over from), being with Celegorm makes her wish she could go back but then again she was never as much of a walking wall of muscle as Celegorm is. (Celegorm is in fact so beefy that it's actually understandable that people (especially filthy humans) would assume she's a guy. Mr. Favoritism probably never even took into consideration the fact that Celegorm is very much a woman.)
Maedhros is of course angry to hear about Gil-Galad's birth, especially because it reminds her of her own experience with Fingon (Fingon never tried anything sketchy but he did expect her to be desperate enough and thankful enough to finally marry him after Thangorodrim. Cue breast-cutting - 'oh dear, looks like I'm really unfit for any of your marriage shit' was part of the message too).
Also...the huge physical difference between Celegorm and Curufin? Curufin still embodying androginy as a woman and really confusing people. She's petite (as male!Curufin is small), but well-built and muscled (as male!Curufin), looks exactly like her father and is still called Little Father.
I'm also leaning towards her never being married, and not even being 100% sure who Celebrimbor's dad is, which causes of course a lot of Respectability(tm) issues. (The idea of a fake marriage was probably taken into consideration at some point, but her dad didn't want her to end up in a marriage she didn't care about that would be a shitty binding thing according to the Valar's laws.)
I should really focus on the twins too...
And my fem!Caranthir should def be different from the one in Tangled.
Fem!Maglor is basically the same as regular Maglor (maybe with a bit of androginy here too).
*If I were to make this into a series, I'd change all the titles to lines of a certain song (and
No Cats in Heaven would be the series' title).
